With palms we sometimes we start at the top, removing fronds, then the head and then cut the trunk into pieces.
More often we secure the head of the tree with a chain noose and chainsaw cleanly through the base of the tree. The whole tree is then lifted whole out of the garden.

All trees and green waste are taken to a Green Waste Recycling plant and turned into mulch or potting mix.
This section of a large Marri tree is roped, chainsawed and lifted clear. Then laid on the road before lifting it whole into the truck for cutting up.
